A luxury house built without a warehouse.
Cameli Couturier is a Helsinki luxury brand with one finished product, a frozen specification, a manufacturer, a six-colourway pattern system and a search-first route to market — and no speculative inventory on the balance sheet. We are raising to open pre-orders and grow the range. This page is the short version; the deck is on request.
The thesis
Luxury's margins are built on scarcity; its losses are built on inventory. Established houses forecast seasons ahead, overproduce, discount through outlets and destroy the rest. A brand that starts digital, makes to order and pre-sells its runs keeps the margin and drops the write-offs — and can say so in public, which is itself a marketing asset in a market now policed by the EU's green-claims rules.
What exists today
- The Regalia Voyage duffle: production-ready, frozen technical specification, manufacturer in place, sample photographed.
- A colour system: one ornament pattern, Regalia, in six named colourways with hardware and trim to match — a product family from one tooling set.
- Two owned domains (camelicouturier.com, sustainablehighfashion.fi) positioned on the highest-intent sustainability search phrases in luxury, structured for both search engines and AI answer engines.
- A defensible claim set, documented and with the gaps stated, built for the post-September-2026 green-claims regime.
The plan
- Pre-order campaign. The signature edition goes to crowdfunding: demand validation and working capital before a single bag is cut.
- Range, deliberately. More colours and sizes of the Voyage, then other bags, small leather goods and accessories, then garments — each in minimal, limited runs, never seasonal drops.
- Certified supply chain. Audited manufacturers and certified tanneries, published as they are contracted.
- Selective retail. A small number of concept and department-store partners in the Nordics and EU, on allocation rather than sale-or-return (see Retail partners).
The founder
Tomi Marjakoski founded Cameli Couturier in Helsinki in 2023. A QA engineer in the banking sector by profession and an entrepreneur building several long-term businesses, he has taken the Regalia Voyage from first sketch through three factory sampling rounds to a production-ready specification, and runs the brand's sites, content and supplier relationships himself. Long-term goal, in his words: one of the leading sustainable luxury fashion brands from the Nordics.
Why Helsinki
A Nordic house can hold a slow, made-to-order line without apology; the market here already buys few things and keeps them. Finland also offers a design-school pipeline, a credible sustainability story and low cost of running a lean team.
What we are looking for
Primarily angels and early-stage consumer or luxury funds — this is a brand-building story with pre-order validation, not a venture-scale software curve, and we say so. Most useful: investors with distribution or retail networks in the Nordics, DACH, UK or East Asia, or operating experience in luxury goods. Smart money over fast money.
Numbers
Unit economics, the raise, use of funds and the pre-order plan are shared in conversation — in person in Helsinki, on a call or by message — not published here. Ask and you will have them.
This page is information about the company, not an offer or solicitation of securities. Any investment would be made only on the basis of definitive documents.
